COMMERCIAL AND PUBLIC DESIGN

ACADEMY WOODS, BEAUX ARTS VILLAGE, WA

The town of Beaux Arts Village hired us to turn a narrow woodland lot into a pedestrian/wildlife corridor. Our design introduced a wide meandering path and diverse palette of native understory plants, providing beauty for people and essential food sources for local wildlife.

SEAHURST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, BURIEN, WA

Partnering with EarthGen and the Sounders Rave Foundation, we transformed a muddy school field into an Outdoor Classroom, Sounders Mini-Pitch, and Bioswale, incorporating over 200 native plants to enhance outdoor learning and address stormwater challenges.

AMBROSIA MONTESSORI, SEATTLE, WA

This plan converts a large parking lot into a playground, and several planting beds. A concrete walkway will circumambulate the playspace and welcome children and their parents to the main School building. A mix of bulbs, ornamental grasses, dwarg shrubs, and trees will provide seasonal interest thorughout the schoolyear.

WILSHIRE PARK, PORTLAND, OR

We partnered with Portland’s Sustainable Landscapes Program to design a 'NatureSpace' in historic Wilshire Park, Portland, OR. It will manage stormwater, feed native birds, and serve as an educational area for children. Beaumont Middle School students are currently involved in a science project to monitor soil health and biodiversity.

NOBLE FIRS CONDOMINIUMS, SEATTLE, WA

This condo's common area lawn for years collected stormwater runoff and turned muddy. Our design replaced the grass with an ornamental woodland bed, using a mix of native and exotic species to manage stormwater and support native birdlife.

CHIHULY STUDIO, SEATTLE, WA

With a multitude of entry paths between basalt boulders, river rock, and plantings of Manzanita, Ceonathus, Yucca, Agave, and more, we created a space that is welcoming to both Chihuly Studio glass artists and their clients.
